Acceptance and Permitted Use

MockInterview provides a free, browser-based interview practice tool for personal, non-commercial preparation purposes. You may access and use the Site without creating an account and without providing any personal information. There is no minimum age requirement stated, but the content is designed for adults and working-age job seekers.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not attempt to interfere with the Site's technical operation, reverse-engineer its code for the purpose of building a competing service, or use automated tools to access or scrape its content at scale without prior written authorization.

MockInterview reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any feature of it at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of service.

Self-Assessment Scores Are Practice References Only

The scoring system built into MockInterview — covering Situation, Task, Action, and Result dimensions on a one-to-five scale — is designed solely as a self-practice framework. Scores you assign to your own answers are your personal assessments, not objective evaluations by a qualified recruiter, hiring manager, career counselor, or assessor of any kind.

These scores do not represent your actual interview readiness, your likelihood of success in any specific interview process, your competency level as assessed by any professional standard, or any validated measure of employability. They are reference points for self-improvement only.

MockInterview expressly disclaims any representation that high self-assessment scores correlate with positive interview outcomes, job offers, or employment success. The self-scoring feature is a practice aid and should be understood as such. If you require professional career assessment, we encourage you to consult a qualified career counselor, executive coach, or industry mentor.

No Guarantee of Interview or Employment Outcomes

MockInterview is a practice tool, not an interview placement or career consulting service. Use of this Site, however extensive or consistent, does not guarantee that you will advance in any interview process, receive a job offer, be hired by any organization, or achieve any specific employment objective.

Hiring decisions depend on a wide range of factors entirely outside the scope of this tool, including the qualifications of competing candidates, the hiring organization's internal priorities, budget cycles, team dynamics, market conditions, the judgment of individual interviewers, and factors that may have nothing to do with interview performance at all.

MockInterview has no ability to influence, predict, or affect these factors. We will not make any representation — explicit or implied — that practice on this platform translates to a specific interview or employment result. Every piece of content on this Site should be understood as educational and preparatory, not predictive, prescriptive, or contractually binding as a service guarantee.

All original content on MockInterview — including but not limited to interview questions, practice frameworks, scoring rubrics, explanatory text, section structures, and page designs — is the intellectual property of MockInterview or its content contributors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property law.

You may access and use the Site's content for personal, non-commercial interview preparation. You may quote brief excerpts for discussion, criticism, or attribution purposes consistent with fair use. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, or create derivative works from the Site's question content or written material in bulk or for commercial purposes without prior written permission from contact@mockinterview.top.

The MockInterview name and any associated visual identity or branding are proprietary. You may not use them in a way that implies endorsement, official affiliation, or partnership without our express written consent.

If you believe that content on this Site infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please notify us at contact@mockinterview.top with a description of the allegedly infringing content, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized. We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove infringing content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

MockInterview is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be continuously available, error-free, free from security vulnerabilities, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, currency, or suitability of any content on the Site, including interview questions, frameworks, and evaluative rubrics.

Your use of the Site is entirely at your own risk. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the Site or these Terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the Site.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MockInterview, its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or use of the Site. This includes, without limitation, damages for missed employment opportunities, lost income, lost time, or any reliance placed on information obtained through the Site.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to use the Site, which since MockInterview is free equals zero dollars, or (b) the minimum floor required by applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not permit exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the applicable law allows.

User Conduct

You agree not to use MockInterview to engage in conduct that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. While the Site does not host user-generated public content, this standard applies to any communication you initiate with us through contact channels.

You agree not to misrepresent the purpose of your use of the Site. MockInterview is a practice tool for legitimate personal career preparation. Using it to generate content for resale, to build competing products, or to circumvent terms of service of other platforms is not a permitted use.

Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown on this page. Because we do not collect contact information or operate user accounts, we have no means of providing direct personal notice of changes.

Your continued use of the Site after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the Site. The most current version of these Terms will always be available at mockinterview.top/terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site should first be raised with us directly at contact@mockinterview.top, with a clear description of the issue and your requested resolution.

We will make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes amicably within thirty days of receiving written notice. If amicable resolution is not achieved, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction and venue appropriate under applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rely on this tool to prepare me for a real job interview?

Yes, MockInterview is specifically designed for interview preparation and is most effective when used consistently over multiple sessions. However, it is a practice aid, not a guarantee of readiness or results. Preparation improves the quality of your answers, but hiring outcomes depend on many factors beyond interview performance. Self-assessment scores are practice references, not professional evaluations.

Can I reproduce the questions from this site in my own content?

You may use questions for personal, non-commercial preparation. Reproducing them in bulk for redistribution, resale, or inclusion in another product or service requires prior written permission from contact@mockinterview.top. The question library is original content protected by copyright.

What happens if the site becomes unavailable?

MockInterview is provided as-is without any availability guarantee. If the site becomes temporarily unavailable, we are not liable for resulting inconvenience. Your locally stored practice data remains in your browser's storage and is not affected by server downtime. If the site were permanently discontinued, we would make reasonable efforts to provide notice in advance.
